Cheryl Frances-Hoad’s five15 commission performed in Winchester
As part of five15‘s commitment to performing our commissions across the UK, The London Oriana Choir performed Cheryl Frances-Hoad’s So True a Fool is Love on their recent tour to Winchester. The concert, alongside Hampshire County Youth Choir, was at the United Reform Church in the heart of this historic city.
Other works by women in the concert included Kerry Andrew’s O Nata Lux, which the choir performed again the following day in the city’s Great Hall, along with Butterfly by Finnish composer Mia Makaroff and Susie Hill’s haunting arrangement of the folk song Scarborough Fair.
